Home About us

Us, is Kirstin and Vincent. We love to travel and meet people while we are traveling the world.

We like to do that mostly overland in our Unimog Expedition truck, but we also love to fly over the “world” with our paraglider or “sail” over the seas kite surfing. When the water is frozen with grab the snowboards to ride down the mountains.

We traveled with our sons, Kris and Nick, through Africa in our old Land Rover Defender. But now the boys are getting men they start to live their own lifes.

So now you know what we love to do. If you want to get in contact, write us.

We are planning a one month trip to Tanzania from July 17-August 17. We are planning a trip to mahale and will travel by road from kigoma. CUrious if you have heard or seen any updates since you visited. We have two daughters and are finding some of the transport costs to be outrageous! Anyway, curious if you have any advice for getting around in Tanzania. We’ll be arriving in Arusha in are planning a trip to ulunguru, ruaha, and then mahale, and then Zanzibar. It looks like you’ve explored much of that area and am interested in any recommendations you may have for budget family nature travel? Thanks

    Dear Gaetano e Teresa,

Great you found us and contacting us.
Let me first introduce ourselves. We are a family, Kirstin and Vincent (50 years old) with Kris and Nick (16 and 14 years old)
Mahale was our goal in juli 2015 and we really wanted to do it by car.
The only way to get to Mahale is by plane or by boat.
We didn’t know there was no road. We just kept driving and asking around and this way we found our way to Mahale.
I will search our archives for pictures and the GPX files this weekend. But be carefull, there is no road, so you might get stuck and damage/scratch your car.

Can you tell something about yourselve?
    Where are you now?

    Greetings from the Netherlands.
